Version 8 = disaster

Whoever re-designed the user interface section titled Beta should consider a different line of work. So many critical features missing, no manual, and no help from Customer Support.
Since its recent release, version 8 has already been updated btwice in an attempt to fix this aweful Beta version.
Garmin, will you please hire a quality assurance team to complete your testing (prior to release) instead of inflicting this useless version 8 on paying customers. Please listen to your customers when you fail.

For Pilot users the best advice is, do not upgrade to version 8, or any of its still broken updates.
